It’s Mother’s day this Sunday – the perfect chance to show our wonderful mums how fabulous they really are. Mums tend to spend all year taking care of everyone else, so make this Sunday the one day a year when she can relax, put her feet up and be spoiled by her kids (however grown up you are now!).

We know that Oli Dollies are the busiest girls in town and that’s why we’re bringing you our Mother’s day gift guide to take the stress out of shopping without taking the ‘wow’ out of the gifts you get for your mum. So all you have to do is click, wait for the gift to arrive and then take the credit for being an amazing daughter. Everyone’s a winner! Here are our ideas for the perfect Mother’s day gift:

Leon Bailey Green, founder of the Online Fashion Agency and connoisseur of all things fashionable on the web brings us another insight into the world of blogging with an interview with The Greenwich Phantom about his favourite places to shop and his favourite ‘mysterious’ pieces from Oli.

The Greenwich Phantom is an anonymous blogger, updating and providing information on South East London’s glittering gem. It brings together residents, visitors and businesses in Greenwich, collectively providing an up-to-date synopsis of the village.

The mysterious Greenwich Phantom...

The mysterious Greenwich Phantom...

So, why the mystery?
I confess I tend to keep myself to myself. Who I am isn’t really the point of this blog – besides, the cloak and dagger nature (well, ok, cloak and tricorn) of it all is very entertaining.

It seems that you are approachable, despite the secrecy, can you tell us an interesting fact you have been sent from readers?
I quite enjoyed a recent discussion about what appears to be several elderly religious ladies who wander round Greenwich at 6.00am every morning ringing bells and cleaning the pavement.

Which blogs do you follow?
I read mainly other Greenwich and London blogs – my favourite is IanVisits but I guess there are about 15 in my RSS feed including Faded London and Ornamental Passions.

You know everything there is to know about Greenwich, which shops do you recommend us when we visit?
I like 360 degrees vintage, and the Parachute Dress Pop Up next to Johnny Rocket is fun. I also miss Flying Duck Enterprises. The nutty little Pegga Shop at Blackheath Standard, which sells greetings cards and other bits and pieces, is great, because it’s like stepping back into the 1960s.

What do you think to the explosion of blogging?
I welcome it – it’s the last great meritocracy. Everyone has something to contribute, there’s room for all. Besides I know what goes into writing a blog – I admire and applaud anyone who can keep it up.

What makes a good blog?
I’d say a tight remit – not wandering off-topic too much. People like to read ‘a voice’.

And a bad one?
I get very tired of ‘blogs’ that are just rehashes of press releases – or even – goodness – straight transcriptions of press releases. I like people to have an opinion, even if I don’t agree with them – hell – ESPECIALLY if I don’t agree with them.

Finally, what 3 items are you coveting on the Oli website this month, bearing in mind the lack of cloaks?!
Well, these D and G sunglasses will be perfect for sunny spring mornings in Greenwich Park, and oh! Look at how big they are!

The Diesel leather gloves are beautiful,  I’d wear them on all these chilly evenings we’re having.

Finally, the Anna Lou Crystal Mask necklace is unique, striking and intriguing….just like me!

With awards season in full swing, red carpet glamour is everywhere at the moment. Grey January in the office isn’t always the best place to bust out your A-List gown though…  So, why not perk up winter and put yourself on until that Oscars ceremony invite pops through your letterbox by accessorising like a superstar? An award-worthy colourful clutch will brighten up the dullest of outfits and that extra bit of sparkle will make you feel like you’ve just won Best Dressed!

At last night’s Grammy Awards, Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas rocked a bejewelled clutch in yellow – a key colour for spring. Steal her style with this Miss Sixty bag.

Go to the gym seven days a week, cut out cakes, get up earlier in the morning, stop drinking so much coffee… There are a lot of resolutions that might not make it past the first week in January, but there are some that will see you through 2010 in style.

Here are our top new year’s style resolutions to keep you looking and feeling fab in 2010.

1. Always be stylish – Oli.co.uk makes this an easy one, with 24/7 online shopping, up to 70 fabulous new lines each week and next day delivery, you never need to worry about having nothing to wear. It’s like having a personal shopper at your fingertips!

2. Keep up to date with the latest trends – Our Oli Dollies are out and about, scouring the globe (swapping those skyscraper heels for Emu boots in this weather!) to bring you the latest trends and the best brands to make sure you’ve always got the most up to date look.

3. More is more – None of this minimalist ‘less is more’ rubbish – with more choice, more designer collaborations, more fab brands and more general fabulousness, the only thing that might be difficult is choosing the best outfit. If in doubt, buy them both, we say! Put a stop to that ‘Nothing to wear’ dilemma and have it all! The great thing about Oli.co.uk is that we choose what to put on the site with outfits in mind, so if you’ve found the perfect dress on the site, chances are you’ll find shoes, a bag and jewellery to complete the look without having to do more than click your mouse. Genius!

4. Stay inspired – Looking good makes you feel great, but it’s not always easy to refresh your look without a helping hand. That’s where we come in. Throughout 2010 we’ll be bringing you more blog posts, more style guides, more celeb trends, more features on how to wear the latest looks and more lovely clothes, shoes and accessories.

5. Get the insider knowledgeSign up for the Oli.co.uk newsletter. We’ll send you the latest fashion tips, celeb style and sneak previews of our latest collections. Keep an eye out for exclusive offers and discounts that you won’t find anywhere else.

Now, to gym or not to gym….?
