I was lucky enough to be invited to the Nokia X6 launch this week at London’s Brixton Academy where Rihanna showcased her new album R-Rated. We were in the VIP area and were surrounded by celebrities including Neve Campbell, Henry Holland, Pam Hogg, Jamelia, Kimberly Stewart, Daisy Lowe and X Factor’s Jamie Afro!
Rihanna was absolutely amazing and looked hot in a revealing bodysuit! The best part of the show was when Jay-Z made a surprise entrance to sing with her. It certainly was a night to remember!

RCA SECRET
I popped into the RCA to see if I could spot the Tracey Emin postcard, or even the Julian Opie or Grayson Perry one. If you’ve not heard of it, RCA Secret is an annual exhibition of postcards made by professional artists, designers, illustrators etc, but the beauty is the postcards are only £40. Not bad for an original Tracey Emin right? Sounds completely brilliant right? Well, the thing is you don’t know who made each postcard so there are hoards of people trying to work out who is responsible for each of the 2000 postcards on display. Everyone had a notepad and was busily scribbling notes. Let the guessing begin!

EXHIBITION OF THE MOMENT
Everyone seems to be thrilled with the Anish Kapoor exhibition at the Royal Academy, so I trotted off on a Sunday afternoon full of excitement and anticipation only to be met with a queue, complete with a guaranteed wait of an hour and a half. In the rain, and the wind. Hmmm, sorry, not for me. So if you are planning on going, do yourself a favour and try first thing on a Monday morning…or bring a pack lunch and an umbrella. The cannon will have to wait.
SEQUINS, SEQUINS AND MORE SEQUINS
I don’t know if it’s all the lights that are already appearing all over the high streets (it’s not even December yet!) or just the anticipation of Christmas, but I am such a sucker for a sequin. I keep seeing them everywhere!

I particularly like this jacket available on the Oli website, how can you resist something totally covered in sequins – I know I can’t! It’s the sort of thing you could wear with jeans (just roll the sleeves up and team with a baggy t-shirt) or a gorgeous LBD. Either way you’ll be sparkling all night. Enjoy.

Tommy Ton is young, cool and Canadian. He know his Prada from his Gucci and can spot a fashionista at a thousand paces. He knows the name of all the editors, stylists and models; he can pin point a look to a specific season and as if that wasn’t enough, he can also take a mean picture. He is Jak and Jil, the fabulous blog giving The Sartorialist a run for his money. The layout is sharp, graphic and the beauty is definitely in the detail. I love this blog. Enjoy!
